The SW12 Short Distance Service
When we take a short distance job in SW12, the truck arrives carrying enclosed-care flatbed and loading boards. The service always includes:
- Quick local moves
- Home, garage & storage transfers
- Competitive short-haul pricing
- Same-day availability
- Running or non-runner
Inside the SW12 District
The SW12 district takes in Balham, sitting within Wandsworth. It borders SW11, SW13 and SW10, all of which we cover with the same drivers — so if you’re right on a district boundary, it makes no difference to your ETA.
Permit Zones, CPZs & Narrow Roads
The Balham side of SW12 is classic inner London: permit bays, school streets, width restrictions. Crews routing in via Upper Richmond Road deal with all of it daily, so the short distance job gets done without a parking drama on top of a breakdown.
Your SW12 Callout, Step by Step
A SW12 job runs like this:
- Ring 07538 716531; if all you know is “SW12, somewhere near Balham”, that’s plenty to dispatch on.
- We send whoever is closest — often already working the SW12 patch — with an ETA around 30–60 minutes.
- We load your vehicle using soft straps and a low loading angle — no chassis contact.
- We deliver discreetly to your chosen address, on time and mark-free.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you do short local car moves?
Yes. We handle short-distance moves within SW12 — between your home, garage, storage unit or dealer — often the same day. That applies exactly the same around Balham as anywhere else we cover.
How is short distance priced for SW12?
No — SW12 is standard-rate territory for us, from £60. You get the exact price on the phone before you commit.
How long until a driver reaches SW12?
Around Balham we average 30–60 minutes — you’ll get a live ETA on the call, not a vague window.
My car is in a resident permit bay in SW12 — is that a problem?
Not at all. Most of our SW12 work happens on permit-controlled residential streets. The truck positions once, loads, and moves off — and if it’s your own bay outside your home, the whole job can be done from there.
